Exactly
“From one man He made every nation
of men that they should inhabit the whole
earth; and he determined the times set for
them and the exact places where they should
live. God did this so that men would
seek him and perhaps reach out for him and
find him, though he is not far from each
one of us.” Acts 17:26-27
Are you kidding me? I knew that God was good, but I forgot
just how good He was. He knows the EXACT places where we would
live.

When talking about the plans and purposes
that God had for our lives, he goes as far
as describing the intentionality of when
and where we would be born. He knew where I would grow
up, the schools that I would attend, and who would sit next to me
in my Civics class. He knew the people who would live next
to my apartment complex and the people that I would commute with. He
knew the schedule I would keep before I ever
did and the people that I would know.
God magnificently orchestrated these events
in my life. Why?
Was He bored and just in the mood to play
some cosmic game of Life? Was He looking for a pawn to help
Him pass the day? Did He not have enough things to consider
as He held coordinated the cosmos?
No, the reason that he was so specific with
my life is because my life is supposed to
count. He knew that
I would cross paths with people who needed encouragement. He
knew that I would contact people who were searching for answers. And,
he knew that I had everything in me necessary
to point them towards Christ.
God arranged my life in such a way that I could share His truth,
His mercy, and His wisdom with those I come in contact with. And,
maybe…just maybe, when the pieces are all in place…when
the seed have been planted, and watered, some might reach out for
Him and find Him though He has never been far from them.
God knows what He is doing. My life is not an accident. My
surroundings are not random. He knows the times set for me,
the relationships ordained, and the exact places where I would live
my life; if I continue to walk with Him in obedience He will receive
attention and people will be transformed.
