Text Version As I sat on the front row, I happened to open my eyes in the middle of the pastor’s prayer. To my surprise, there was a four year old little girl running full speed towards the pastor’s wife standing right next to me. Because this woman’s eyes were closed, she did not see what was about to hit her. However, it was impossible to ignore the girl once contact was made. It was as if the girl tried to tackle the woman. With a full head of steam, she wrapped her arms and embraced her friend. I love the fact that this little girl didn’t wait for an invitation to go and meet her friend. She took it upon herself to initiate the encounter. We would be wise if we took the same attitude as we approached God. We have His permission to draw close to Him and experience His presence. We have His authorization to embrace Him whether things are going well or whether times are tough. And, just as the woman that was embraced by the little girl, God will pick you up, hold you in His arms and tell you how glad He is to see you. © 2005 Champion Ministries dba Groundwire |
