Recently while watching some college students at a football game, my eyes landed on a young man that was trying hard to fit in.  The problem was…he was trying too hard.  After several failed attempts to impress the people he considered to be important, he dropped his head and wandered away, defeated, discouraged, and depressed.  

In that moment, I wish that I could have taken that young man searching for acceptance and value and tell him what I have discovered to be true.  There is a person that will accept him for who he is.   He won't put him down or ridicule him.  In fact, Jesus Christ invites him to open up.  He longs to listen to his inner hurts, fears, and wants.  And He will offer the answers that he needs and the acceptance that he wants so he doesn't have to live in fear, confusion, and insecurity.

The same is true for you.  Jesus lived on this earth and He knows how we feel.  He came to understand and He gave His life so you can thrive in yours.  Whoever comes to Jesus will find safety and security.  They will find acceptance that they have been longing for and love that has been missing.  © 2006 Champion Ministries dba Groundwire
