Recently, I spoke with a young girl that has lived a difficult life.  She had been taken advantage of, mistreated, and abused.  Her story both shocked and angered me.  I looked into her eyes as I heard her story and wondered how she was still standing; but then she put it into perspective.  She told me that she had a relationship with Jesus Christ and knew that he would never leave her.  When I looked at this young girl, I saw a faith so simple, yet so powerful that it helps her find joy in a life marred by confusion.  

She finds peace that goes beyond cincurstances, and she relies on a love that is invisable, yet tangible and sustaining.  That day she inspired me to remember God's goodness no matter my circumstances.  Now, when things don't go my way, I recall His goodness.  When some of my questions go unanswered, I dwell on His faithfulness.  And, when my feelings want to drop into misery, I rehease His kindness.  

Without a doubt, I know that God is good, His love is real, and His faithfulness is perfect.  I hope that you know that as well.  © 2007 Champion Ministries dba Groundwire
