Text Version

One was crying uncontrollably, and the other was resting peacefully.  Although the plane was experiencing extreme turbulence, one baby didn’t even seem to notice, while the other seemed to get louder with each bump in the air.  As someone watching, I was intrigued both by the difference between the two and the parallels between the way that many adults deal with their situations.

As they go through life, everyone feels the turbulence that is caused by difficult circumstances, wounding words, strained relationships, and broken dreams.  However, the way that they cope with their struggles will be determined by whether or not they have true peace.  Those that know the giver of peace, will be able to rest even in the most difficult of circumstances, yet those who do not know Him,  will continually be frustrated, discouraged, and uncomfortable through life.

You see, the God of Heaven is the God of Peace.  And the Bible calls Jesus “The Prince of Peace.”  Only through a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, will you discover a peace that is bigger than any situation that you will face.  When God is holding you in His arms, you can be sure that you can find rest even through the most violent turbulence in life.      © 2004 Champion Ministries dba Groundwire
