Text Version One of the most incredible statements in scripture was made about an average human being that did incredible things for God. However, the statement was not an endorsement for what He did, but for the way he lived his life and approached His God. The Bible tells us in Acts 13:22 that David was a “man after God’s heart”. This means two things. It means that God was pleased with David, but it also means that David’s heart was hot after God. David was not complacent towards Him, but he aggressively wanted to know what God loved, thought about, and wanted him to do. Do you know that God loves you just as much as He loved David? In that respect, you are a person after God’s heart. You have found His favor. However, are you really after God’s heart? Do you long to know what he cares about? Do you spend time getting to know Him? God does love you, but do you live your life and approach your God in a way that gives Him permission to brag about you? Think about it. It is never too late to become a person who is “after His heart.” © 2005 Champion Ministries dba Groundwire |
