Text Version As I navigate through different websites, I am often saddened as I see people begging for attention. Young girls indirectly asking for someone to tell them they are attractive or guys promoting an image of so-called masculinity as they try to impress the people looking on. This cycle is destructive because it is built around the theory that pepole are valuable becasue of how they look or what they do well. But, that is not the reason that you are valuable. God created you in His image and that is why you are valuable. You were his idea. You might not ring up a 10 on the attractive meter, you may not have the perfect body, and you may not be as gifted as some of your peers, but you are loved by God. You are unique, one of a kind, and that is a good thing. So the next time that you are tempted to beg for attention or to conform to some mold that is not a true representation of who you are, fight the urge. Instead, pray and ask God to remind you of your worth. After all, he not only created you and loves you, but he paid the ultimate price to prove it. He allowed Jesus to die a gruesome death so that you could have a relationhsip with Him. And, that makes you priceless. © 2007 Champion Ministries dba Groundwire |
