Text Version Although we had known each other for over three years, it was on a broken down bus in the middle of Nebraska that marked a dramatic change in our relationship. That day, Mike and I shared deep and meaningful conversation. We walked through a crisi together, and we laughed a lot about some uncomfortable experiences. These three things helped us bond together, as they are the three things that friendships are built upon. When I ask people who God is to them, many respond by calling Him a friend. However, many treat him like an acquaintance instead of a friend. If you are going to treat God like He is your friend, you will reveal your deep thoughts and feelings. Your conversations won't be limited to listing your wants and needs. Also, when you walk through a crisis, you will run to God for answers and comfort instead of running from Him. Treating Him like a friend means that you'll take Him with you through the enjoyable parts of life as well. In your life, you can treat God like an acquaintance or a friend. Which one is it going to be? © 2005 Champion Ministries dba Groundwire |
