(another voice) “After all of the things that I have done, why would God ever love me?”

So many have pasts littered with regret. They have said and done things that were hurtful and wrong. They have crossed lines they never wanted to cross and broken promises they never intended to. Although the concept of a relationship with God is appealing, they are convinced that because God knows everything, He surely would not love them.

Although it is true that He does know everything, your past will not discourage him from loving you.

God’s love in not conditional, it simply is. His love flows out of His deep and unchanging heart for you. You were his idea. You are His creation. And despite all of the things you have done wrong, He loves you and wants a relationship with you. That relationship is provided through Jesus Christ, and if you are respond to it, He will not only offer you love, He will work with you so that you can make better decisions in the future.
